“When society closed down in the early spring of 2020, it quickly became clear that the German infrastructure was not ready to move most of its activities such as teaching, meetings and other forms of communication to a digital platform, as it happened in many of our neighbouring countries, “admits Sales Manager Heike Kaiser-Jäger from the Neumünster office, where HF Technikpartner GmbH is situated.
“However, it has had the effect of further accelerating initiatives by the state and the federal states in terms of rolling out fiber at a higher pace.”
This has led to a new organization of the German branch of the Følsgaard Group and an upgrade on the employee side. Sales Manager Heike Kaiser-Jäger covers the entire country, while Key Account Manager Uwe Krause has been responsible for the northern and eastern German area since February.
At the end of April, Key Account Manager Sandra Kaplan joined the company as responsible for sales in West and Southern Germany, and the entire team is supported by Lene Godsk Stanek at the head office in Denmark, from where she manages the distribution.
A large technological and digital backlog naturally results in a great potential for sales, and HF Technikpartner GmbH is intensifying its customer dialogue to capture its fair share of the expected rise in sales for the German digital infrastructure. In this connection, several customer groups must be addressed, because various stakeholders in the German regions and cities are responsible for the roll-out of fiber cables. As example, this could be:
“We work hard to maintain and expand relationships with our existing customers, and we are also present at trade fairs,” says Heike Kaiser-Jäger and continues: “We have been
to Connected Germany, FTTH Conference, AngaCom in Cologne and Fiber Days. At the fairs, we are experiencing a good reception and great responsiveness, not least because of our market-leading, very thin fiber cables.”
The status of the German market today is that only 7% of Germans have access to fiber connections. Until 1999, Deutsche Telekom was alone in the market, after which the market was liberalized. The last meters of fiber are missing to reach companies and consumers, and the majority of the German signals are therefore still transmitted via coax cables.
“Compared to the ‘good old days’, everything is different today, and we are working on a new level of Open Access,” says Sales Manager Heike Kaiser-Jäger.
“There are over 500 players in the market, and there is funding from both private investors and the German federal government and federal states. It seems that the fiber market is finally gaining momentum, and HF Technikpartner GmbH is definitely on the shortlist for new projects.”
HF Technikpartner GmbH works closely with the head office in Denmark and can therefore offer German companies customer-specific solutions, development, design, warehousing, and logistics with backup from the Danish specialists.
The command routes are short, and the German colleagues can draw on the support and back up to give their offers and daily customer collaborations extra weight and impact. The same applies to the product areas Container and Greentech.
Følsgaard develops and manufactures products for the container industry, including distribution boxes, splice kits and cables. Our HF Container Flex cable has thus proven to be one of the strongest on the market. VP & Manager Claus Rønne is responsible for this segment and also covers the German market.
HF Greentech is a competence centre in Ry, where we have accumulated a large amount of invaluable knowledge and insight into the development of renewable energy. Not least in the field of wind energy, we encounter great responsiveness from customers when it comes to market assessments, innovation, and solutions.
