“We have many types of customers when it comes to our fibre products, but basically they are looking for the same benefits when choosing a supplier,” says Managing Director Jörg Gößling from the headquarters of egeplast
pro cable in Pulheim, near Cologne.
“This applies to the high quality of the cable and its cable protection, good documentation and high blow-in performance, so they can save time when installing cables.”
The parent company egeplast is known for producing some of the market’s best and
most recognized pipe systems and has set benchmarks in this area for decades. To offer customers a complete fiber solution, egeplast pro cable therefore only needed a competent supplier of the cable itself at the same high level.
“This search has led to a longstanding, close collaboration with Følsgaard on complete systems, where Følsgaard delivers micro and mini cables that are light, thin and robust,” says Managing Director Jörg Gößling from egeplast pro cable.
The director of egeplast pro cable says that the company together with Følsgaard has
delivered countless meters of cables to their customers over the years, and so far, there has not been a single complaint about breakage, or lack of performance, or other types of operational disruptions. Jörg Gößling: “We share the same uncompromising attitude to product quality, and we demand that the cables are always installed following the regulations. Our pipe systems meet all requirements from, for example, Deutsche Telekom and the utility companies.
Several standardized requirements from public authorities are also set, for example for the diameter of pipes and cables, and of course, we comply with them.”
Collaboration at a high technical level
The product specialists at egeplast pro cable communicate directly with their colleagues at Følsgaard in Køge, when it comes to product development, documentation, testing, and similar technical issues. “We have a close and very technical collaboration with Følsgaard’s specialists and use the technical support in Denmark often,” says Jörg Gößling. “This way, we can better approach our customers, who here in Germany are a wide range of stakeholders in the
expansion of the broadband infrastructure.”
There are public subsidy programs, private operators, municipalities, regions, and many more who have interests in the broadband expansion, and here egeplast pro cable and Følsgaard can form a strong partnership in the ongoing dialogue.
“That said, we are also pleased with the prioritization of the HF organization here in
Germany, led by Heike Kaiser-Jäger because it is a great advantage to also have Germanspeaking partners on the team,” states Jörg Gößling.
